Automatically collected information

Like most websites, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs standard server information including IP addresses, browser type, referring pages, and pages visited. This information is used for security monitoring and aggregate traffic analysis. We do not use this data to identify individual users.

Analytics

4. Aurora Forecast App

The Borealis aurora app is a separate product, launching on the Apple App Store. Its data practices will be governed by its own privacy policy, published on the App Store listing at launch. The app may request location access solely to provide localized aurora forecasts; this data is processed on-device and is not transmitted to our servers.
